Color Prep Operator – Day Shift (7AM-3PM) - Laflin
Start Date

Color Prep Operator needed in a 24-hour manufacturing environment involving large scale printing/assembly processes and equipment. Color Prep Operator provides support to the production and manufacturing of printed products. Color Prep Operator is cross trained in all areas of production ranging from: log work order progress, by using the E-Schedule – DPS Work Order Tracking System, Convert various application files to the native PDF file format used in our PDF workflow. Preflight/prepare customer supplies files and scanned files for final output, save and transfer updated files into Scribe according to their assigned part number. Ensure that the work order travels to the next step in the prepress workflow. Color Prep Operator must be able to stand for 8 to 12 hours, lift 50 lbs., and work in fluctuating seasonal temperature conditions. Our facility provides opportunity to grow with lead and supervisory career paths available. Wage Rate $10.83 to $14.96/hour commensurate with skill and experience. 


  • Must have intermediate computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to create print-ready cover file from accepted file types (1-color and 4-color).
  • Ability to color match cover/color insert files to match originals (including conversion from RGB/5color/Pantone/Special treatments).
  • Ability to set-up commercial jobs (Topps cards/flyers/pamphlets, etc…).
  • Sound math background including ability to work with decimal equivalents.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions required.
  • High school diploma or GED


  • 1 – 2 Years’ experience in prepress digital environment
